Full-Day Kindergarten Focuses On Individual Attention Discovery Corner is proud of our individualized program for kindergarteners, especially our one-on-one reading time with the kindergarten teacher. Parents are amazed at how quickly their children learn to read. We teach real-life math, writing, history, geography, science, computers, and fine arts to challenge your child's problem-solving skills, teamwork and creativity. In addition to our structured curriculum, we take advantage of everyday experiences, current events and our community enrichment program as a source of learning. Our small class size and strong emphasis on reading, math and science give your child a learning advantage well above their peers. How Often Can I Talk With The Teacher? Parent/Teacher communications consists of daily ongoing dialogue with the kindergarten teacher and the director, a weekly class activity update, 4 report cards, and 2 scheduled conferences. You are welcome to schedule additional conferences. One-On-One Reading Time With The Kindergarten Teacher
Your child receives special one-on-one time with the kindergarten teacher. Each week your child’s kindergarten teacher tutors and reviews sight words and phonics with your child. When your child is ready to read, she will teach your child the necessary skills to read successfully at his or her own reading level. Our personalized program helps children become fluent readers and exceptionally well prepared to enter elementary school. |
